Privacy Policy

Last updated October 1, 2026

Mullings Media (“we”, “us”) is a photography business in Portmore, Jamaica. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and when you book a session, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Jamaica’s Data Protection Act, 2020.

What we collect

When you book a session, we collect:

  • Your details: name, email address, phone and WhatsApp numbers, Instagram handle (if you give one) and date of birth.
  • Your booking: the session, date and time, add-ons, your answers to the booking questions, and whether your photos may be shared publicly (your image privacy choice).
  • Your agreement: the photoshoot agreement you accept, with your signature, name and the time you signed.
  • Payments: the amounts you pay, the date, the payment method and any reference you give us. This website does not take card payments and never asks for or stores card numbers or banking passwords.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email, WhatsApp or Instagram.

Simply browsing this website doesn’t require you to give us any information. We don’t use advertising or analytics trackers, and the public website doesn’t set cookies. Like any website, our server keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and working.

How we use it

  • To confirm and manage your booking, prepare for your session and deliver your photos.
  • To send booking confirmations, reminders, invoices, receipts and updates about your session.
  • To keep accounting and tax records of invoices and payments.
  • To keep a record of the agreement you signed.
  • To reply when you contact us.

We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t send marketing emails unless you’ve asked to receive them.

Your photos

When you book, you choose whether images from your session may be used to promote our work (for example on this website, our portfolio and social media). If you choose the privacy option, we won’t use your images that way. The photoshoot agreement explains this in full.

Services we use

We use a small number of trusted services to run the business. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase stores our booking records, signed agreements and invoices.
  • Our web hosting provider runs this website and its server.
  • Google: we send email through Gmail, add your session to our Google Calendar, and save your name and contact details to our Google Contacts.
  • Intuit QuickBooks keeps our accounts: your name, contact details, invoices and payments are recorded there.
  • WhatsApp and Instagram, when you choose to message us there.

Some of these services store information outside Jamaica. We only share what each one needs. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records, signed agreements, invoices and payment records for as long as we need them to provide our services and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. After that, we delete them or make them anonymous.

Keeping it safe

Information is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Access to booking records is limited to Mullings Media’s administrators, and connections to services like Google and QuickBooks are stored encrypted on our server. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that’s wrong or out of date;
  • delete your information, unless we need to keep it (for example, invoices and payment records we must keep for tax purposes);
  • stop using your information for a particular purpose, such as promoting our work with your photos.

Contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to Jamaica’s Office of the Information Commissioner.

Children

This website and our booking are meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
